The flavor is otherworldly, just like the habanero variant, but this bad boy here has a stinging burn (pun intended) that lingers. Had to grab a glass of milk and six Oreos after sampling a pea sized dab on my fingertip. If you can gobble this down on pizza or random tacos or otherwise, I have a new respect for you. Is it just me or is this hotter than most ghost pepper sauces, namely Melinda's?

It certainly has a concentrated sting to it. I cannot eat it as the usual Tabasco: dab on every bite, every top layer of my soup, etc. I use this to spice up an entire pot of soup or chili with just a few dabs. It has an excellent flavor.
Definitely hotter than Melinda’s and I agree the taste is great. I got a little happy dashing it on some pizza and got a wake up call lol. Between it and garlic reaper I don’t know if I want to push my heat limits much further but I’d definitely continue to buy it.
Scorpions are hotter than ghosts in general. Melinda’s Ghost Pepper is pretty mild for a ghost pepper sauce though, as is Melinda’s Scorpion for a scorpion sauce.
Tabasco Scorpion is about a 6/10 out of heat for me, certainly packs a punch. There are much hotter scorpion sauces out there, like Karma Scorpion Disco and Queen Majesty’s Sicilian Scorpion, but Tabasco Scorpion does have a really nice flavor.
I love Tabasco scorpion, but I can’t justify the price. I bought Melinda’s ghost pepper because it is much cheaper, thinking it would be the same level of heat… I literally laughed out loud when I tried it. 🤣
I just put some of that in my Spaghetti-Os, yummy!
I live that sauce.. but some days it feels hotter than others, lol
I’ve been trying to find it in stores near me but have had no luck i may have to just bite the bullet and order online
I like it. It stopped being hot to me about a year and a half ago, but I still put it in almost any soup I eat just for the flavor.
Dumped it on some chicken fried rice the first time I had it, Sidelined me for a solid 15 min before I could go about normal activities 😂 you have to build up a tolerance to this stuff.
Love the scorpion!! Enough burn to make you pucker
It caught me off guard at how hot it is. I had gotten pretty used to eating habanero based sauces daily and thought I was ready for it. I was not.
My daily driver
Yeah, first time I bought it I opened it immediately outside the store. I figured ‘it’s Tabasco, can’t be too hot’ and got my 8 year old to try it first (for reference, he’s my only hot sauce cohort in the house, loves it!). He immediately starts coughing, watery eyes, the works. 🤣 I’m thinking he inhaled some, I don’t know… I try it and was pleasantly surprised! Didn’t think Tabasco had it in them! 🙌🏼😎
Yesss, I gots to try this.

OPs Behind be like.
This with the Matasanto and toch bearer honey badger are my 3 hottest sauces.
I rolled back to habanero. The scorpion was a touch hotter than what I want, although I still use it to enhance flavor as an ingredient vs a condiment/topping. Like a smaller % thing.
…if that makes sense.
I was very surprised by how hot this one was too, I have plenty of other “super hot” sauces that don’t hold a candle to this one.
I can’t even find it locally.
This is a good one to build a heat tolerance with. At the start of the battle I could only handle a drop or 2 but by the end I was dumping it on everything lol
this is my main
Best application for this bad boy: bagel bites, specifically the pepperoni ones. One dash per bagel bite 🤤
To mess with my high school students I straight up put several dashes on my tongue and don’t take a drink or eat anything for several minutes. It helps establish dominance. And it’s fun, because sometimes they do the same and prevail.
If anyone has tried both, is this hotter than or less hot than Pepper North salsa Roja and ghost peppers hot sauce? Because that’s just salsa I’d put on corn chips to me.
There are definitely hotter ghost pepper sauces, it is hotter than melindas though, which, while good, is pretty mild.
I like the Tabasco a lot. Not crazy spicy, but a good bit of heat, especially for a big brand sauce available everywhere. I enjoy the Tabasco taste too. I think it’s a really solid sauce, especially for the price.
I tried this recently and while it was my first scorpion sauce and it had kick, I only experienced some moderate mouth discomfort for 10 minutes or so. Didn’t even trigger my hiccups (that’s usually my sign to slow down).
So after reading these comments, I think maybe I need to dial back on the hot sauce a bit despite having only really gotten into it in the last couple of years.
It’s definitely hotter than some ghost pepper sauces. A lot of the ones I’ve tried don’t have ghost pepper in huge quantities. I make a homemade ghost pepper salsa that has me sweating after 10 or 12 chips and causes me to tap out after around 20ish.
I like to use the Tabasco scorpion sauce to make Hot Honey! Just add a dash or two to about 1 Tbsp of honey and stir it up with a fork. Adjust quantities to taste, but it goes nuts on wings and chicken & waffles
Good taste but I don’t find it that spicy anymore, I like to put 6 or so large drops on pizza and then using a basting brush to even it out over the slice.
